Went out to the haunts of my teenage drunkenness on Saturday - the two clubs that were there last year have both closed and so people are not coming into town for a bit of pre-club drinking. I don't think I've seen town so quiet. I beat Dave at pool. He sulked.
I washed and polished my car, after it had a new throttle cable fitted. Driving around on a temporary one for 2 months hasn't been the best of ideas. Still, the car is nice and sparkly.
Bank holiday today, so I was able to finish Brick Lane which I bought on Thursday. I recommend it. It's not the best novel I've ever read, but I can see why it was nominated for the Booker prize. No more slacking next weekend, though - another essay to write. Only two more modules, thank god.
Work tomorrow, ho hum.
