Yadda, yadda, yadda.

You know what the problem with having boring stuff to do is? You don't want to do it,
so you end up typing random journal entries into Notepad to be uploaded the next time you
get onto a networked PC. Sigh.

I may have scared someone slightly on the way to work. Oopsie. He stopped for traffic
lights just before the road turns into 3 lanes for left, right and straight on. Not keeping
left so people can get past, either. This meant the gap between him and oncoming traffic
was quite small, so I had to get quite close to his right wing. Didn't hit it though.
Neither did the about 8 people who also did the same thing. Lucky there weren't any van
drivers in a hurry, though.

The worst part about driving is that it's so convenient. It's like fast food - bad for you,
but it tastes so goood... For example, last night I got chatting on the phone to a couple of
people, and I needed to go to the gym. Well, it was getting late, so I drove. Oh, the
guilt. It's about a 20 minute walk, and I was too lazy to do it. Bad bad me. It has cut
my journey time down from 45 minutes to 15, though. It's worth it, because I can get home
in time to have eaten before about 6:30.

I'm so tired this morning. I don't know why, because I was in bed fairly early last night.
I've been here about an hour and a half, and I'm on my third coffee already. Plus a bar
of chocolate. I even had breakfast. There is absolutely no reason why I should be half
asleep. Grrr.

At the moment I'm doing some testing of a server management package. It's reasonably
interesting finding out how it all works, but the actual testing of different programs
to make sure that there are no conflicts is boring to say the least. Still, it keeps me
out of trouble. Mostly.

Anyone know if there is a way to remove items of windows software using some sort of script?
I've had a quick look on the internet, and it should be possible to get commands from the
registry that will do it, but I'm not sure how scripting on windows works. Unfortunately,
the local scripting guru is ill today.

Really tempted to go out and get a newspaper. It will help pass the time if I can read some
stories while I'm waiting for stuff to install. I managed to complete the whole Times 2
crossword yesterday while I was waiting for NT4 to install on one of my test boxes.

I signed myself up for a squash ladder that is going to be running in work (probably starting
next week). Very tempted to hire a court in the local lesiure centre this weekend to get
some practice in... knowing me, I probably won't bother, though. Still, I can't be any
worst than the last time I played - about two years ago now. I'm probably a little fitter
these days, too. I must take my running shoes home with me when I go and visit my parents
this weekend. I've been a bit lazy since the marathon.

11:30 - 4 coffees. Waiting for the sandwich person to get here. Writing a report. Ho hum.
